Wladyslaw "Spud" Potocki 1918-1996


Spud logged the most time in the Arrows.
When Janusz Zurakowski retired from active test flying in 1958, he became Chief Test Pilot
After the Arrow programme was shut down, he stayed at AVRO for several years test flying the AVROCAR. He then went to North American Rockwell Aviation in Columbus Ohio.
After a career-ending accident unrelated to flying, in which he lost an eye, operated a motel complex and business in Columbia, Ohio.
Spud died of Alzheimer's in Dec 1996.
