FSX Canadair CC-106 Yukon. A repaint for Jens Kristensen's Bristol Britannia for FSX only, as a Canadair Yukon (ish). In the 1950s, Canadair had acquired a licence to build the Bristol Britannia airliner. With an RCAF requirement for a replacement for its C-54GM North Star (modified C-54 Skymaster with Merlin engines) fleets, Canadair began work on a long range transport primarily intended to provide personnel and logistics support for Canadian Forces in Europe.
cc-106.zip FS5/FSFS Canadair CC-106 Yukon RCAF Transport 15926. Canadair began studies in 1956 for a trooper/freighter transport for the Royal Canadian Air Force. Using the license arrangement with Bristol, Canadair had employed the Britannia design for the Argus maritime patrol aircraft already in production. The development of the CL-44 was seen as a logical extension of the previous work on the Britannia design. The RCAF's need was fulfilled in the delivery of twelve CL-44-6 in 1960, designated CC-106 Yukons. Copyright George A. Vega Repainted by Eric Mitchell with permission
