This is Jacques Brault’s Northrop X-Plane 8/9 CF-5A (CF-5A_FREEDOM_FIGHTER.ZIP) converted for X-Plane 11. Canadair produced under licence a number of Northrop F-5A and F-5D aircraft for supply to the Royal Canadian Air Force/Canadian Armed Forces. This X-Plane model has a 2D instrument panel. cf-5d.zip	FS5/FSFS	CANADIAN ARMED FORCES CANADAIR CF-5D 116805, 419 'Moose' Squadron Newly reformed April 2, 1976 at Cold Lake when 434 Sqn. stood down from its CF-5 training role. Operates with approximately 38 CF-5s and 33 pilots. Role is advanced flying and weapons training. Graduates remain on CF-5s or convert to the CF-18. 419 Sqn. also runs a nine week Fighter Weapons Instructors Course (FWIC) referred to as the PhD of fighter piloting. The one and only CF-5 simulator is located at Cold Lake, but it is used basically as a procedures trainer (no movement) by new students for only one or two trips. Paul Hartl & Antoine Delacretaz

Initial delivery to CFB Cold Lake, left on 27 October, arrived 29 October 1969. First single seater delivered to Cold Lake. Received full Avionic Update Program modifications in early 1990s. In use with Aerospace Engineering and Test Establishment at CFB Cold Lake in February 1995, one of the last operational CF-5s.

Lara - "Grupo Aéreo de Caza Nro. 12" The F-5s were delivered to the Fuerza Aerea Venezolana in two groups between February 11 and June 11, 1972 ,Two new-build CF-116Ds were delivered by Canadair to Venezuela on January 27, 1974. They were assigned CAF serials 116827 and 116828, but were never actually taken into CAF inventory but delivered directly to Venezuela. They were designated VF-5D in FAV service.
