It is based off numerous eyewitness reports of an aircraft nicknamed the "Black Manta" that is allegedly operated by the U.S. Government and has been most commonly sighted in the southwestern U.S. Reports say the craft is larger than the Lockheed F-117A but smaller than the Northrop B-2 Spirit and shares a look very common to both aircraft. I'm sure that it would have been an excellent strike fighter since it would have replaced the aging fleet of A-6 Intruders, now retired. These aircraft are the first of a new line of aircraft built by a virtual aircraft manufacturer I call Canadian AeroSpace Systems. The aircraft design is based on the proven G-222 airframe from Alenia, with turboprop engines from Allison and advanced systems from Lockheed Martin. The C-27J Spartan has the same logistical and maintenance characteristics of the Lockheed Martin C-130J Hercules Medium Tactical Airlifter, and also shares commonality of the cargo capacity. In real life, there is an elongated radar nose cone fitted to the aircraft which houses the radar systems. All navigator training aircraft are Dash 8-100s, however for flyability FSPainter's Dash 8-Q200 was used for this repaint. This is a repaint of the excellent Chance-Vought F-8 Crusader by Alphasim to represent a fictional Royal Canadian Navy 'CF-8'. The Crusader would have been a natural choice for the Royal Canadian Navy to replace its ageing fleet of McDonnell F3H Banshees in the late 1950's or early 1960's. Smaller and more manoeuvrable than the Phantom II it would have been better suited to the single RCN light fleet carrier HMCS Bonaventure. This download will give 4 versions of the Crusader in RCN colours; an early CF-8E with pre-unification fin flag, a later version with bombs, a CF-8J with AIM-9's and a CF-8J with AGM-12 Bullpup anti-ship missiles. The Douglas Globemaster attracted the attention of the airstaff during the Korean war, and again during the construction of the PINETREE and Distant Early Warning (DEW) Line radar site networks in Canada's north and far north. The C-119 and Bristol Freighter gave yeoman service, but the RCAF lacked the capability to move heavy equipment, S-55 and -58 helicopters, and prefabricated structures to remote sites with out time consuming disassembly, as well as lacking the range/payload for heavy logistic support to Canadian units abroad. Ultimately, the RCAF soldered on with the Boxcar untill intoduction of the C-130 and Yukon in 1960. By Mike Barnes.

The Bell Boeing V22 Osprey is an American multi-mission, military, tiltrotor aircraft with both a vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL), and short takeoff and landing (STOL) capability. It is designed to combine the functionality of a conventional helicopter with the long-range, high-speed cruise performance of a turboprop aircraft. Although a fictional Canadian Forces Search and Rescue paint scheme, Bell/Boeing has submitted a bid to replace Canada's SAR aircraft. If these "textures" are flown for "testing and evaluation purposes" it can be deemed "As real as it gets". Textures by Gary Moore.
