FSX Canadian MkX Lancaster Drop Bombs. Although requested as an update this is the full Freeflight aircraft capable of accurately dropping bombs from 8000 feet with a probable impact error of less than 60 feet. Essentually it is identical to the original version of my Plane Design MkX Canadian Lancaster on tour in the UK 2014 except for the addition of a bombsight for aiming the Chris Sykes 1000 lb bombs. This packages does not replace the original version. It however, allows the simmer to release a full Lancaster bomb load of 14 x 1000 pound bombs or just one. An illustrated pdf explains the use of the bombsight first developed back in CFS1 in 2004 to sink the Tirpitz. Wide view aspect only, not suitable for P3D. Package is by Ross McLennan.

FSX Canadian MkX Lancaster - UK Tour. This is the Plane-Design MkX Lancaster converted and modified for use in FSX. It is a fully flyable aircraft with similar performance to the Dambuster series DB70 and DB71 Lancasters. It is fitted with a bomb-aimer view, 2D and VC panels with Canadian gauges but has no bombsight to drop bombs accurately. The readme gives details of the differences from the real aircraft. Images and flight plans are contained in folders within the aircraft folder. We all know the Canadian Lancaster Tour of the UK will be a resounding success and perhaps this sim aircraft will give simmers a chance to visit similar airfields and shows as the real one during its tour. The package represents Lancaster serial number FM213 painted as KB726, VR-A, of 419 Sqd (RCAF) out of Middleton St George and is called the "Mynarski Memorial" Lancaster. Package by Ross McLennan.

Avro Lancaster Mark X, 419 Squadron, RCAF  The Lancaster X was a Canadian built version of the Avro Lancaster heavy bomber, differing from contemporary British models mainly by having American (Packard) Merlin 38 engines in place of the Rolls-Royce variety. The AF Lancaster is intended to represent KB726, the aircraft which the Canadian Warplane Heritage Lancaster (P.O. Mynarski, one of only two airworthy examples in the world) is also depicted as. The orignal, operated by 419 Squadron, RCAF, was on a mission over France shortly after D-Day in June 1944 whenit was attacked by a Junkers Ju88. The aircraft caught fire and the crew were ordered to bail-out. Mynarski was posthumously awarded the Victoria Cross - the British Commonwealth's highest award for valor. John A. Kelley
