FS5 De Havilland Mosquito FB.VI (RCAF)  The Mossie was one of the most remarkable aircraft of WWll. To reduce war time metal use, the airframe was almost all constructed with plywood. The Royal Canadian Air Force operated them from England Bases. This particular model is from the Canadian Archives Picture # DK338 was the one copied from. Bob Tremblay

FSX DeHavilland Mosquito B.IV LR503.A repaint for the freeware DeHavilland Mosquito BIV for FSX from Dave Garwood at Classic British Flight Sim. LR503 was a de Havilland Mosquito B.Mk IX built at Hatfield in 1943. She was a veteran of 213 missions over Germany, last serving with No 105 Squadron.In May 1945 she was sent to Canada to display in support of the 8th Victory Loan Drive. Crewed by Flt/Lt J.M.W. Briggs and F/O J.C. Baker, the Mosquito put on a spectacular low level display on 9th May over downtown Calgary. This was to be repeated on the 10th May but tragically the aircraft struck metal poles on top of the Calgary control tower and crashed in a field, killing both crew members. FSX DeHavilland Mosquito KA114 A repaint for the payware JustFlight de Havilland Mosquito FBVI for Microsoft Flight Simulator X / Prepar3D. KA114 was a Mosquito FB26 built in 1945. The aircraft was retired from the RCAF in 1948, the aircraft was sold and stored at a farm in Alberta. The hulk was acquired in 1978 for the Canadian Museum of Flight and Transportation. In 2004 the remains were taken over by the Fighter Factory and transported to Avspecs in New Zealand for restoration to airworthiness. The aircraft flew again in September 2012, painted in No 487 Squdron, Royal New Zealand Air Force. KA114 is kept at the Military Aircraft Museum facility at Virginia Beach, Virginia. FSX Mosquito HR147.A repaint for the payware Just Flight de Havilland Mosquito FBVI. HR147 was coded TH-Z and piloted by W/C Russ Bannock, DSO, DFC and bar and CO of 418 Sq. RCAF. It bore the nose art 'Hairless Joe'. Bannock, the second highest scoring Canadian pilot of the war was later named Director of RCAF Overseas Operations. Post war he became chief test pilot for DeHavilland Canada and later President. By Peter Lorimer.

FS98 Mosquito FB.IV. Upgraded with animated props, flaps and landing gear. The Mosquito was an unusual machine, reflecting unconventional thinking in both operational concept and manufacture. It had to overcome stiff official resistance before it was finally accepted for service. Once it was, it was built in the thousands, with dozens of marks. FS5 model by Even Aaby Larsen and Brian J. Fillery. Original textures by Bob Tremblay. Includes fast twin prop panel with GPS and position homing gear. Panel bitmap by Aaron Pederson.
