FS2004 | RCAF H-19. FS2004 RCAF H-19 (Sikorsky S-55). The Sikorsky H-19 was acquired by the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1954. The major share of a helicopter airlift which played a vital role in the construction phase and maintenance of the Mid-Canada line was carried out by a comparatively new Air Transport Command unit, No. 108 Communication Flight. Six H-34, six H-21 and up to ten H-19 helicopters were employed to airlift, from marshalling points, materials required to build and furnish the line installations.
