1930 April 22: Taken on strength as RCAF 164 [Canadian Military Aircraft 1920-1968, Griffin], at Camp Borden, Ontario, Canada.[RWR Walker]
Purchase price was $4,075.00 for the airframe, plus $1,500.00 for the engine.[RWR Walker]
First used as trainer at Camp Borden, Ontario, Canada, delivered there by air.[RWR Walker]
1931 February: Still at Camp Borden, Ontario, Canada, when it was used for first solo of div class="tooltip">LACLeading Aircraftman Jack Hunter. (Hunter would go on to fly Bellancas and Fairchilds, before transferring to the Department of Transport in 1937. By 1955 he was Superintendent of Flight Operations for all of Transport Canada.)[RWR Walker]
